A fine hand-engraved brass Imperial coat of arms,. Although the eagle is close to the style in use under Napoleon I, the small eagles on the crown indicate that this is probably from the Second Empire. Remnants of glue on the back suggest that this may have been inlaid on the door of a carriage or a piece of furniture.
